Mt. Biking: Around Felixstowe Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Mainly cloudy Max Speed: 20.62 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 8.45 miles (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
Monday 20th September – bike *** – Around Felixstowe including lunch at
the Ferry – mainly cloudy.
We actually got some rain during the night which filled our water butts
which pleased Mag no end :) Was tempted by a sunrise walk along the prom
but it was cloudy, perhaps tomorrow? A couple of us were thinking it might
be breezy enough for a foil at Bradfield but it was very light so decided
to hold off until Thursday when the forecast looks promising about time as
you have had no wind for ages! We started to get some sun so I managed to
do my exercises in the garden while Mag sort out her cheese plants. I then
made a salad and we set off on our bikes to eat it by the River Deben at
Felixstowe Ferry. It was lovely along the prom with a blue sky and it
looked like enough wind to foil but the tide was high meaning very little
beach at The Dip, in fact the sea was splashing over the prom! We enjoyed
our lunch at the Ferry but only saw one yacht heading in against a strong
out going tide! It had clouded over completely now and was a bit nippy so
continued to the boat yard, then out onto the very bumpy River Deben path.
Turning off at Kings Fleet, along Marsh Lane, the Grove and home for a
cuppa.
I was wondering if you would like to take a minute to vote for my pic in
this years Felixstowe Photo Competition. My picture is FFF in the seashore
section – all votes are greatly appreciated:)
